Terms of use
Last updated 8 September 2026
The short version. QR Socials is free, has no account and makes no promises about staying online. The links inside a shared folder belong to whoever made the code — not to this site, which never receives them. Do not use a folder code to hand people malware or a phishing page.
1. What these terms cover
They cover the QR Socials Android app and this website, including the page a shared folder code opens. Using either means accepting them. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app and close the page. The provider is named in the Impressum; what the app stores and what leaves your device is described in the privacy policy.
2. What you get
QR Socials is free. There is nothing to buy, nothing to subscribe to, no advertising and no account. You may use it privately or commercially, for as many QR codes as you like.
No promise is made that the app or this website will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, or that either will keep existing. Creating and showing your codes works entirely offline and will keep working whatever happens to this website — but a folder code that opens a page here depends on the site being reachable. Keep anything you cannot afford to lose somewhere other than a QR code.
3. Your codes are yours
You keep every right in the links, names and logo images you put into the app. No licence
to them is claimed or needed, because none of it is ever received: your codes live in the
app's private storage on your phone, and the contents of a shared folder travel in the part
of the web address after the #, which browsers never send to a server.
4. Rules for shared folder codes
A folder code opens a page on this website that lists the links it carries. Because that page shows your text on a domain that is not yours, there are limits. You may not use a shared folder code to distribute or point to:
- Phishing pages, credential-harvesting forms or anything imitating another person, company or service.
- Malware, or downloads presented as something other than what they are.
- Content that is illegal where you or the recipient are, including material that is defamatory, that infringes someone's rights, or that sexualises minors.
- Anything designed to deceive the person scanning about where a link actually goes.
Report abuse to Mr-Brogrammer@outlook.com. A shared page cannot be taken down individually, because it is not stored anywhere — the links exist only inside the address of the code itself, and there is no copy on any server to delete. What can be done is to make the viewer page stop rendering a specific address, and that will be done where the law requires it or where a link is being used for the things listed above.
5. Links are the sharer's responsibility
The links a folder page shows were chosen by whoever created and handed out that QR code. They are neither hosted, reviewed, endorsed nor seen here. Anyone holding a code can open it, and a code that has already been shared cannot be recalled — delete the folder in the app and generate a new one if the old code should stop being useful to people who have not saved its contents.
Follow a link from a shared folder the way you would follow any link a stranger sends you. The viewer page shows each destination's real hostname next to the link for exactly that reason.
6. Other companies' names
Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram are trademarks of their respective owners. QR Socials builds ordinary public profile links for those services and names them so you know which one you are picking. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of them.
7. Liability
Liability is unlimited for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). For slight negligence, liability arises only on breach of an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance possible in the first place and on which you may reasonably rely, and is then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Beyond that, liability is excluded. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by agreement.
8. Changes and ending
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did, and continuing to use the app after that means accepting the new version. You can end them at any moment by uninstalling, which also deletes everything the app stored. The app may be withdrawn from Google Play at any time; copies already installed keep working offline.
9. Governing law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country you live in.
